2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), profile details, role (artist, curator, label).
• Music content: tracks, artwork, metadata, lyrics, release dates, and any files you upload or import from SoundCloud or Spotify.
• Third-party account data: when you connect Google, Facebook, or Spotify via OAuth, we receive the minimum profile and catalogue data needed to provide the Service.
• Payment information: processed directly by Stripe. We do not store card details on our servers; we retain Stripe customer/subscription identifiers.
• Submission and campaign data: pitches you send, messages, feedback from curators, and ad campaign settings.
• Usage data: IP address, browser, device type, pages visited, actions taken, and cookies (see section 7).
• Communications: emails, support tickets, and any content you share with us.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• To process submissions to labels, curators, and radio stations.
• To run and optimise advertising campaigns on Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and Spotify on your behalf.
• To process subscription and one-off pack payments through Stripe.
• To provide AI-powered tools (e.g., release planning, marketing copy) via the Claude API.
• To send transactional emails (account activation, password resets, submission updates).
• To send product updates and marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time).
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal Basis (UK/EU Users)

Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, we process personal data under the following legal bases: performance of a contract (delivering the Service you signed up for), legitimate interests (improving and securing the Service), consent (marketing emails, optional cookies), and legal obligation.

5. Sharing Your Information

We share personal data only as described below:

• Record labels, curators, and radio stations: when you submit a track, the recipient sees your artist name, track details, and any message you provide.
• Service providers: Stripe (payments), Render (hosting), email delivery providers, Anthropic (Claude AI), OAuth providers (Google, Facebook, Spotify), and advertising platforms (Meta, YouTube, TikTok, Spotify Ads).
• Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
• Business transfers: if PitchSonic is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your account at any time by emailing help@pitchsonic.ai. Some data may be retained for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication (session cookies), preferences (theme, language), and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies will prevent the Service from working correctly.

10. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

PitchSonic is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
